Nice polo at FOX, but priced cunningly at $33 WITH min 2 pcs purchase (UP $39.90 each). Pull and Bear also not bad. Cotton On materials are quite thin though. But for the moment its just some window shopping haha... G2000 sale extracted quite abit from me :)
Its time to frequent more electronics shop to see the latest gadgets...from a general consumer view and also from a professional view... So, today i realised the elegance of LED TV. As thin as 2.9cm, it boasts more than a TV. Packed with tons of multimedia, same technology but branded differently by competitors, LG + Samsung. Apparently, SS claimed its TV is world's slimmest at 29.9mm, but LG beat it by 0.9mm. Interesting enough, SS has packed its slim gadget with Internet@TV and WLAN for its Series 7 & 8 (~3-5K or more), along with SRS surround sound system. Budget spenders would be looking more at Series 6 (~2.5-4k) w/o those valued features. Sets come in Rose black or Platinum black depending on model, a truly exquisite affair. On the other hand, LG branded its set with it BORDERLESS(TM) Design, Invisible Speakers, Intelligent sensors and bluetooth connectivity. Borderless in the sense that the screen and border are a single layer, unlike current designs where the screen "sits" into the border. Their speakers are well hidden, but are promised to deliver a true surround audio experience. And the sensors detect the ambient lighting, while adjusting the TV backlight for optimal viewing pleasure. Well, haven't had a close look it yet, but certainly it derserves some close scrutiny somedays haha.
Well, for SS its just a different TV technology but same value-added features as per LCD/Plasma sets. Haven't compared for LG yet, but i guess it would be same too. LED TVs would dominate the market in years to come, just as its predecessors LCD/Plasma did before. Its main appeal would be low power consumption, the slim-ness, longer product life (LED lasts longer than CCFL [Cold Cathode Fluoroscent Lamp] used in LCD), and better wide-angle viewing.
One day, do not mistaken the potraits hung on the wall, it might just be a LED TV in disguise :)
